Patent Breaking

Patents have both good and bad sides to them.  If you have the Patent then fantastic – if you don’t it can be a major barrier to progression.

 

Sometimes competitors deliberately Patent idea with no intention to exploit the technology. Their objective is to prevent their competitors from entering the market or expanding their product range.

 

We offer a service on a fixed fee, fee plus commission or a no-win no-fee basis where we will look at those blocking technology “patents” and try to “duck and dive” around them.  Often this will require taking a step back and gaining an overall understanding of the objective and to try to find “another way” of achieving the same objective. Similarly, we can take a close look at the patent and see if we can find any prior art or material errors through which the patent can be overturned "breaking the patent".
